Introduction
Bone marrow is a spongy substance found in the bones of the pelvis, extremities, and skull. When bone marrow is compromised by conditions, such as cancer, physicians may choose to conduct a transplant and transferring healthy marrow after destruction of diseased bone marrow by chemotherapy or radiation.
